In this webinar, social and emotional learning (SEL) experts from Big Thought shared their ‘signature practices’—warm welcomes, engaging practices, and optimistic closings—for embedding SEL in afterschool. Big Thought guest presenters described key elements of the SEL Dallas curriculum and helped webinar attendees understand how to differentiate SEL lessons by age group. Finally, presenters shared strategies and lessons on how afterschool program leaders can understand staff and youth self-care as healthcare and essential to the work we do in afterschool.
