Supporting Emergent Bilingual Students in Afterschool
In this webinar, Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Multilingual Consultants provide an overview of the importance and responsibility of identifying and supporting emergent bilingual students in public schools and resources to support this work. They also explain federal and state requirements as well as bilingual and English as a second language program designs. This background can lead to practical connections and awareness for providers of programs outside the school day, who play an important part in ensuring that all students succeed.
