Addressing Cultural Diversity and Building Relationships with Law Enforcement
How can our afterschool programs honor students' diversity, promote tolerance, and help youth find their voice in a climate of change and uncertainty? This webinar explores how to encourage discussion and dialogue around issues of cultural diversity and how to build relationships with local law enforcement that can support our shared goal of engendering mutual respect. Presenters Rani M. Person of Chicago Youth Centers' Young Women's Leadership Charter School and Michael Donnelly of Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal and the Lawrence Irvin Neighborhood Center share tools, resources, and techniques for fostering healthy discussions and building positive partnerships.
