Trauma-informed care and practice offer a framework for practitioners that is grounded in understanding, recognizing, and responding to the impacts of all types of human trauma. Youth who have experienced or are experiencing trauma in their daily lives need physical, psychological, and emotional safety to rebuild their sense of self and become empowered citizens.
